2. Drake's Dealership


With 32 beers on tap, Drake’s Dealership located on historic Broadway Auto Row was once the sales and service department of an old Dodge Dealership. It now features a full-service restaurant and open-air beer garden, complete with fire pits and Adirondack chairs – with plenty of room for Fido and his fellow canine friends to lounge, nap, or accept a much-appreciated dog treat from the uber dog-friendly waitstaff.
 


3. Grand Lake Kitchen


With two Oakland locations – one in the Dimond District and the other near Lake Merritt, Grand Lake Kitchen offers everything from brunch (served until 3 p.m.) to fried chicken, as well as a dedicated “Nosh” section on the diverse menu. After your alfresco meal, you and your tail wagging companion can work off a few calories by driving to nearby Joaquin Miller Park for a fun playdate.
 


4. Heinold's First & Last Chance Saloon


Heinold’s First & Last Chance Saloon first opened its doors in 1884 along the storied Oakland estuary and is considered an historical landmark – catering to sailors, locals (and their dogs) for more than a century. As the story goes, a young Jack London first visited the saloon at age 10, and returned regularly after weaving the saloon into many of his well-loved novels. And, of course we know about Jack’s dog Buck…

5. Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill


Situated along Lake Merritt – considered the Crown Jewel of Oakland - Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill is located in the heart of Oakland.
