Inspired on the Runway

Experience Oakland Style LIVE, at a collaborative fashion show featuring looks from Oakland School for the Arts, Kingmakers, Creative Growth, Oakland Style Lab, and White Elephant Sale—all inspired by The Town itself.

Oakland School for the Arts student designers will create upcycled looks inspired by the beautifully diverse neighborhoods in Oakland. Using materials foraged in their inspiring areas, their designs will celebrate the personality and vibe throughout The Town.

The Fashion Academy at Kingmakers of Oakland is a design incubator built to give Black youth in Oakland, ages 14 to 21, a pathway into the worlds of fashion design, production, and entrepreneurship. These young designers learned both how to make things they love and how to think like designers — developing original brand identities, mastering screen printing and embroidery, upcycling thrifted garments into unique pieces, and building the community connections and business knowledge needed to take their work into the world.

Creative Growth presents a selection of one of a kind wearable art pieces crafted in our Oakland studio. The looks celebrate self love and wearable art, and are created by an inclusive community of individuals with developmental disabilities and incredible talent!

Oakland Style Lab's eye-popping segment celebrates the leading edge of sustainable design remixed with The Town's unique flavor. The region's premier fashion justice incubator presents 5 designers embodying Oakland's diversity and creativity, pushing the boundaries of runway aesthetics, materials, and excellence.

White Elephant Sale The Town Remix is inspired by the thrill of the hunt and transforms hidden treasures from the White Elephant Sale into bold new expressions of Oakland Style. Curated, mixed, and reimagined, these one-of-a-kind looks celebrate the creativity, individuality, and unmistakable flair that define The Town and Oakland Style.

• VIP First Three Rows – $75 (EARLY BIRD pricing available until August 24)
  Includes exclusive VIP Hour access from 5:30–6:30 PM. Featuring light bites and one Oakland Style signature cocktail, plus access to the first three rows of seating. Seating is first come, first served (not assigned).
• Premier Seating – $45
  Premier Seating entry begins at 6:30 PM. Includes one Oakland Style signature cocktail and access to open seating. Seating is first come, first served (not assigned).
• Standing Room – $25
  Standing Room entry begins at 6:30 PM. Standing room only. Does not include food or a signature cocktail. A cash bar will be available. No assigned seating.
