Joy to the Town! Holiday Market at Jack London Square

Saturday, November 28 | 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Celebrate the holiday season in Oakland at Joy to the Town! Holiday Market, taking place Saturday, November 28, from 1 PM to 8 PM at Jack London Square. This free, family-friendly event brings the community together for a day filled with shopping, music, and holiday cheer in conjunction with Jack London Square's annual Holiday Tree Lighting.

Event Highlights:

• 40+ artisans and local retailers offering unique, handcrafted holiday gifts
• Live entertainment throughout the day
• Photos with Daisy Claus
• Kids Zone with fun activities for all ages

Live Performances will run from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Featured performers include:

• Mrs. Daisy Claus  - Following her stage performance, Mrs. Daisy Claus will spend the rest of the afternoon in the Kids Zone leading fun activities for youngsters.
• Santa Solas and the Jingle Funk All Stars - Jazzy, funky holiday tunes!
• Jonah Melvon & Adesha -Oakland-raised siblings blend soul, hip-hop, and heartfelt storytelling. 
• Merrie Old Xmas Carolers - The oldest and largest professional caroling group in the U.S., known for festive Dickensian performances with original arrangements, novelty tunes, and playful instruments
• Tap Dancing Christmas Trees  - Nationally-acclaimed, beloved dance troupe that performs at holiday events all around the Bay Area and across the U.S., including the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
• John Santos - Seven-time Grammy nominated percussionist from Oakland brings his immense talent and a full back up band to Joy to the Town! 

The Holiday Tree Lighting at Jack London Square starts at 5:45 PM and runs until 8:00 PM.

Restaurant & Bar Holiday Hop in Downtow/Uptown Oakland

The festivities continue on Friday, December 11 with the Joy to The Town Restaurant & Bar Hop. This is the perfect time to savor Oakland’s diverse culinary culture in the #1 Best Food City in the U.S. with delicious meals and cocktails created by talented chefs and mixologists. Celebrate the holidays with special promotions, holiday treats, and strolling performances to spark your holiday joy!
