Oakland is home of the Mai Tai, invented by Victor Bergeron in 1944 at the original Trader Vic's of Oakland. Though they've since moved to our sister town, Emeryville, we can't not pay our respects to the OG of Tiki and the Mai Tai. Check out their Original Mai Tai 1944 offered at $10 during Oakland Cocktail Week!

1. Rooted in Oakland

Ingredients: Legendario Domingo mezcal, kiwi syrup, orange, ancho reyes verde liqueur, Corazon bitters, kiwi orange boba

AlaMar Kitchen & Bar
100 Grand Avenue Suite 111

This Cocktail was inspired by the people of Oakland. It reflects how sweet the people are here but how things will heat up quickly if cross the line with an Oakland native. The smokey profile of the mezcal reflects how "I got 5 on it" is not just a song but a lifestyle here in Oakland if you know what I mean. The colors of this cocktail is a nod to our Oakland Athletics. This Cocktail was inspired by the people of Oakland. It reflects how sweet the people are here but how things will heat up quickly if cross the line.
