A Taste of Style

Food Meets Fashion

Seven of Oakland’s top chefs will each prepare a stylish dish inspired by an iconic fashion designer.

Cocktail and Hors d'oeuvre reception, four-course dinner with wine pairings, and fashion show to benefit the James Beard Foundation and Oakland Museum of California (OMCA).

The fashion show will feature creatively styled vintage looks from the Oakland Museum Women's Board famed and beloved White Elephant Sale. A Taste of Style will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Chef Nelson German – alaMar + Sobre Mesa, inspired by Gaultier
Chef Intu-on Kornnawong – Jo’s Modern Thai, inspired by Missoni
Chef Michele McQueen – Town Fare Café, inspired by Louis Vuitton
Chef Charles Farriér – Crumble & Whisk, inspired by Gucci
