About
Oakland First Fridays Street Festival, a community program of the KONO (Koreatown Northgate) Community Benefit District, is an inclusive art- and community-centered experience. Every First Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM, Oakland's cultural art community gathers to experience street artists, food artisans, craft makers, performers, musicians, dancers, live painters, DJ's, poets, literary events and more! The monthly event attracts up to 30,000 people from all across the Bay Area and beyond to experience the amazing, eclectic talent of Oakland.
Our theme for December is Peace & Love, and the festival will feature a Holiday Village on Sycamore street, with a tree-trimming party for youngsters from 5:00-6:30pm. There will be other special performances and events and, as usual, the art and community of Oakland coming together.
