Community Ambassador Program

One of the security measures that is in place for our visitors and convention attendees, specifically in Downtown and Uptown neighborhoods - are our Business Improvement District (BID) street and hospitality ambassadors.

There are 30 full-time, highly visible Ambassadors that circulate throughout the neighborhoods elevating the visitor experience by devoting extraordinary care to our public rights of way to create a cleaner, safe and most hospitable downtown for everyone to enjoy.

Community Ambassadors offer the following services:

• Buddy escorts
• Umbrella escorts
• Business engagement
• Provide directions
• Provide recommendations to visitors, residents, and employees

Dowtown/Uptown Ambassador escorts are available between 7:00am-10:30pm, 7 days a week, by calling 510-898-8592. A call 10 minutes in advance is appreciated.
