No matter the temperature you're down for some Town ice cream, but where should you go? Oakland is full of icy treats so feel free to indulge in every single one of these places. Watch out for brain freeze!

Oaklands most historic creamery, it's on any traditional ice cream lovers list. The vintage parlor takes you back in time and is fun for the whole family. Ask for the tour.

On the other end of the spectrum, CREAM is one of Oaklands newest spots to grab a frozen treat. Cream specializes in ice cream sandwiches, and they are hella good.

Smitten is the science experiment we should've all done as kids. Smitten has a custom made machine - called Brrr which uses liquid nitrogen to create the smoothest, densest and most flavorful ice cream. We'll admit, its pretty awesome to watch your ice cream get made this way.

Swing by this Temescal spot for flavors you won't find anywhere else like Bourbon whiskey + vanilla or Thai iced tea. They're always switching up the unique offerings so you may want to come more than once
4731 Telegraph Ave
T.O.I.C. is where you'll find the purest organic ingredients in your ice cream. They too come up with some wild flavors, like Garden Delight and Lemongrass.

We're going to be honest, Flavor Brigade is mostly known for their Italian Ice rather than their ice cream. But hear us out they still have ice cream because there may be a time you need dairy and sugar-free. This is THE spot in the town for Italian Ice; with 30 flavors you will for sure find something to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Did you know the ice cream giant started right here in Oakland?! Sure you can buy them in just about every store everywhere but you need to go to the actual parlor in Rockridge and enjoy a scoop, or two, we don't judge.

Simply put, if you want the best Mexican ice cream around, this is where you come.
