We just finished up our 5th annual restaurant week, it went very well.

I got a late but great start to Oakland Restaurant Week! @jilkoruy and I went to The Half Orange for lunch right near Fruitvale BART. We inhaled clockwise from top left: HARVEST PANCAKE (vegetarian summer squash, shiitake, kale, broccoli rabe, Vietnamese based sauces); PLANCHA BUNS (griddle-steamed asian buns w/housemade sausage under cucumber, carrots, jalapenos & tangy sauce shiitake mushroom); grilled nutella-filled sweet bun; SHRIMP FENIX (beer-battered wild-harvested & super succulent Baja shrimp in corn tortillas w/cabbage, white sauce, pico de gallo, hot sauce). So worth it and more. Cant wait to make this a regular dine-in spot.
