Michael's Chocolates was created in 2015. Michael had previously worked in pastry and attended the prestigious California Culinary Academy. He then transitioned into a career in fine dining, focusing on service and wine. One day years ago, Michael and Curtis were walking down the street and out of nowhere, Michael said "I think, in my next life, I want to do something with chocolate". The following Christmas, Curtis gifted Michael with some of the best books on chocolate and confectionary production.
After months of "playing", Michael decided to delve deeper into the chocolate world. Starting with the Chocolatier program at Ecole Chocolate.
Michael has taken classes from some of the best chocolatiers and pastry chefs in North America and Europe. Melissa Coppel, Kriss Harvey, Chef Jungstedt, Andres Lara to name a few. Michael's have recently opened a brick and mortar store in Oakland, Ca.
