Escape the ordinary and discover life on the lake. Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill is one of Oakland’s premier restaurants located on beautiful Lake Merritt and offers outdoor dining over the water, pick up and delivery at this time.
Lake Chalet is located in a gorgeously renovated 100 year old building and boasts 10,000 square feet of indoor dining and 2,500 square feet of outdoor dining on our dock. We serve a diverse menu of contemporary Californian cuisine with a focus on seafood that's full of new takes on old favorites and a great raw bar. Several dining areas make up our restaurant and offer something for everyone, including private dining and event space for weddings and large meetings.
Our 80 foot long bar overlooks the lake and provides a great place to meet friends, enjoy great people-watching and drinks from our full bar featuring Beach Chalet Ales and handcrafted cocktails. The Dock has weekly specials (Taco Tuesday, Crab Friday, Weekend Grill) and serves afternoon drinks daily. We offer weekend brunch a la carte as well as a huge buffet spread on Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
We also have authentic gondola rides on Lake Merritt available through Gondola Servicio – a truly unique and magical experience.
