What Do We Consume?

The purpose of this talk is to briefly lay out a framework for a discussion that highlights interconnectedness and interrelatedness based on our common humanity. What is possible in a 21st Century world of racial and ethnic diversity, religious plurality and eclecticism for creative expression as well as dialogue? Are there foundational and fundamental tenets upon which cultural constructs can rest? The chief methodological approach should be intersectionality, which should allow for a more holistic view of persons in community and creativity and thereby avoid the trap of single-issue politics and narrow ideological stances.
