Children's Fairyland

Our whimsical 10-acre park is a magical fantasy world where young children can create, imagine, play, and learn all day long, located on the shores of Lake Merritt in Oakland, California.

A favorite way to think of Children's Fairyland was summed up in San Francisco magazine. Children’s Fairyland, they said, is “as miniature and uncynical as a toddler’s beating heart.” We agree. Children’s Fairyland is, in many ways, a timeless reminder of the joys of standing three-feet tall.

With close to 60 storybook sets, kid-size rides, friendly animals, and 10 acres of gardens, Fairyland is designed to delight visitors of all ages, but especially those under age 8. Come and stroll through our gates—or run through if you’re a child—and discover all that Fairyland has to offer.

Come and play! Fairyland is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We strongly suggest reserving your tickets in advance to ensure you get a spot. Walkups are discouraged. Rides, puppet shows, and live weekend performances are back! Check out our 2022 park calendar for a full list of open days and park hours.

Guests age 1 to 100: $15
Guests under age 1: FREE
Members: FREE

As always, to enter Fairyland, adults must be accompanied by children and children must be accompanied by an adult.
