The Ruckus Revival is packed with uncensored circus acts, raucous stand-up comedy, sizzling burlesque, stunning pole performance, freestyle rap battles and hip hop lyricism, aerial performances, beat-boxing, slam poetry, jaw-dropping sideshow, dirty haiku bouts and audience-interactive mayhem in a fast paced night of unfiltered entertainment! Every show features an all new lineup, and both the freestyle rap battle and slam are open for anyone to sign up and compete for $400 in cash prizes, judged by the audience!
This September we kick off our epic Fall season with a wild showcase of some of our favorite powerhouse performers, from the profound to the profane, to the daring to the dazzling! Ruckus is the winner of multiple "Best of the Bay" awards, and is called "consistently the most spectacular event that Oakland's ever seen" by the East Bay Express. The SF Chronicle calls Ruckus "a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent" and "a tent revival for misfits and freaks, those whose artistry or spectatorship has a homespun bent and a bandit streak."
