The Ruckus Revival is a packed showcase of circus superstars, stand up comedy, blazing burlesque, scorching pole performances, freestyle battle rap, stunning aerial, beat-boxing, hard hitting lyricism, shocking sideshow, hilarious dirty haiku bouts & and audience-interactive mayhem in a fast-paced night of unfiltered entertainment!
Our “Blitzmas” edition will feature rogue guest appearances by Kris Kringle, J. Christo and Krampus, all performed by the most electrifying cast of characters you've ever seen in a live show! Every holiday trope will get remixed and spun ten ways to Sunday, with the Grinch and Santa facing off in a rap battle, pagan rituals gone wild, dance numbers with Jesus himself and more! It's going to be a night of jaw dropping hilarity, hard hitting art and an exuberant send up of the holidays from hell! Come see what the Huffington Post calls "one of the best underground performance art shows in America!"
Ruckus is the winner of multiple "Best of the Bay" awards, and is called "consistently the most spectacular event that Oakland's ever seen" by the East Bay Express. The SF Chronicle calls Ruckus "a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent" and "a tent revival for misfits and freaks, those whose artistry or spectatorship has a homespun bent and a bandit streak." Every show features an all new lineup, and both the freestyle rap battle and slam are open for anyone to sign up and compete for $400 in cash prizes, judged by the audience!
