Weβre happy to announce that π¨ THE ART OF BELONGING: Asian American Stories of Diaspora and Community Care will have its opening reception at πARTogether, 1200 Harrison St., Oakland on ποΈ May 10th at β° 2-5PM.
π Entry is FREE (though donations are always welcome!)
ποΈ Be sure to RSVP for the opening reception through the link in our bio!
π The exhibit will be open to the public from May 10th through May 25th on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 1-5PM.
π The exhibit is an intergenerational oral history and multimedia exhibition that traces 11 stories of Asian immigrant elders with interviews conducted by Asian Health Services (@asianhealthservices) and translation support from the Oakland Chinatown Oral History Project (OCOHP). The project was supported by California Humanities (@california_humanities), Figma (@figma), and Metta Fund.
The works presented in the exhibition are brought to life by 11 AAPI visual artists:
