StorySlam Oakland, as Oakland's longest-running, true personal storytelling show (since 2013) presents: "Spontaneous". We've come up with an exciting new twist on StorySlam's format of open-mic storytelling to keep things fresh. You can tell a 5-minute true story on the theme, "Spontaneous." Or, come and let inspiration strike you and tell a story on the spot. Creator Julie and Bay Area comic Inanc Ino host. No notes, no reading allowed.
This show is all open-mic, 5-minute true stories. Sign up or put your name in the hat when you come in for a chance to tell. We will hear as many stories as there is time for! You'll laugh, you'll cringe, you'll have all the feels. Maybe you'll get on stage and tell a story of your own!
Come hungry and get some fantastic food at the Sound Room's cafe. Beer and wine, small bites and desserts available too.
