StorySlam Oakland: "Mistakes Were Made" - true storytelling competition

StorySlam Oakland: "Mistakes Were Made" - true storytelling competition

About

Everyone makes mistakes, and sometimes the fallout is funny, sometimes it's mortifying. StorySlam Oakland celebrates mistakes and lessons learned in this one-of-a-kind competition and personal storytelling show. Hear ordinary people tell 5-minute true stories from their lives on stage. Put your name in the hat for a chance to tell about an epic mistake of your own. Or just listen and laugh. *Note, not all mistakes will be funny, but they do all make us human!

The audience votes on the Best Story of the Night. But everyone who gets up to tell their true story wins -- a free drink from the bar.

While the votes are being counted, you'll be entertained by one or two "Featured Storytellers" telling longer "Mistakes Were Made" stories.

For all the details, including guidelines for storytelling, go to www.storyslamoakland.com. No reading or notes allowed! Stories must be true and about you, and be told in 5 minutes or less.

Sign up on our email list to get notices of upcoming events, discounts on tickets, and more.
