StorySlam Oakland: "Fish Out of Water"

StorySlam Oakland: "Fish Out of Water"

StorySlam Oakland is a monthly true storytelling show with a different theme each month. Put your name in the hat for a chance to tell a 5-minute story. Or just listen and laugh.
This month's theme is: Fish Out of Water. Tell us about a time you didn't fit in. Misfits, underdogs, awkward tales of culture shock and other true stories from real people's lives make up the show. The audience votes for the winner. It's similar to "The Moth," but everyone who tells a true story wins a free drink ticket.

StorySlam Oakland takes place at Luka's Lounge, a classic Oakland establishment with full bar and dinner available.
Doors open at 6:30. Arrive at 6:30 to get a seat and order food and drinks. Show begins promptly at 7:00.
StorySlam is an all-ages show, but not all stories are suitable for children; parents should use discretion but older kids usually have a good time.
