About

The movie will be screened in La Plaza, our private event space. All ages are welcome!
About the film:
Sons of Mezcal highlights the lives of four families from four different villages in Oaxaca; The Cortés, Vásquez, Méndez, and Parada families. Casa Cortés works with 17 different families in 16 different regions for the production of its mezcals. Several of the individuals in the film are members of the Cortés family, while the other featured mezcaleros are from their own families. However, all the families featured in the documentary work together as part of a tightly-knit community of mezcal producers that provide the foundations for the El Jolgorio, Nuestra Soledad, and Agave de Cortés brands of mezcal.
