The Grand Gallery Oakland presents, “Art of Carolyn Cassady,” artist and writer from the Beat Generation. Carolyn Cassady married into the beat Generation in 1947 to 1963 married to Neil Cassady for 16 years. Living with Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg during the creation of On the Road by Kerouac, Carolyn has documented life with the Beats through her work as an artist and writer and her art will be on exhibit for the month of April with an opening Reception on Saturday April 5 from 2-5pm with special guest Carolyn’s Daughter, Jami Cassady.
