The Oakland Civic Orchestra, conducted by Artistic Director Martha Stoddard and Assistant Conductor Andrew O'Donnell, presents its season fInale "Legends," featuring Alex Strachan in the exciting world premiere of Legend: Concerto for Horn and Orchestra by composer-in-residence Nikolaus Umar Durr. Bookended by Jean Sibelius' legendary Symphony No. 5 and the Nocturne from his King Christian Suite No 2, the program also features the colorful Scarlet Sculptures by emerging Australian composer Naomi Dodd. Advance purchase of tickets is strongly advised.
