YoungBoy Never Broke Again, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born in 1999, Gaulden began recording as a teenager using a microphone purchased from a supermarket. While in juvenile detention, he wrote tracks for his early mixtapes. Between 2015 and 2017, he released eight independent mixtapes and gained a regional following. In 2019, his album AI YoungBoy 2 became his first number one.
