Luenell, the “Original Bad Girl of Comedy,” has thrilled audiences for over 30 years with her bold humor and infectious energy. Born in Arkansas and raised in Oakland, she is currently headlining her “Fresh Out of Favors” comedy tour and holding a residency at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas. Luenell’s Netflix special, Town Business, is executive produced by Dave Chappelle and directed by Stan Lathan.
Her breakout role in Borat introduced her to a global audience, and she’s since appeared in major films like Coming 2 America, Dolemite Is My Name, and A Star is Born. On television, Luenell has been featured in Hacks, The Last O.G., It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and more. She also appears in the Amazon Prime series Phat Tuesdays, celebrating the iconic comedy showcase that launched the careers of Black comedians. Luenell’s comedy CD Luenell Live: I Only Drink at Work is available on digital platforms.
