Celebrate Oakland in community this holiday season with Joy to The Town! – a free, festive, Oakland-style winter wonderland December 13 to 15, centered at Broadway & Grand in Northlake.

Let the festivities begin! Restaurant & Bar Holiday Hop at dozens of spots in Downtown/Uptown Oakland and Northlake.

To kick off the first annual Joy to The Town! weekend, Friday night you’ll find special promotions, holiday treats, and street performances to spark your holiday joy!

• Enjoy a fabulous meal, a quick bite, or our talented mixologists’ creations at Oakland’s acclaimed restaurants and bars. Savor Oakland’s culinary cultures from around the world.
• Explore our vibrant restaurant and bar community through an exciting treasure hunt. Visit participating businesses to capture "Instagrammable" moments along the way, and enter to win a prize!
• Treat yourself to a holiday staycation at one of Oakland’s newest hotels – or visit a favorite mainstay.
• Take in a show at one of Oakland’s gorgeous historic theaters–the Paramount or the Fox – or check out the line-up of entertainment options throughout the season.

Holiday Pop-up with skating, Santa, and fun for all ages in Downtown/Uptown Oakland and Northlake.

• Shop one-of-a-kind treasures in a Holiday Pop-Up featuring an eclectic array of gift ideas from local artisans, makers, and independent retailers from business districts citywide.
• Delight your kids in a visit with Santa, and grab photos on your phone to send to loved ones near and far!
• Take a spin to DJ music in a holiday-themed roller skating rink hosted by East Oakland’s Black Cultural Zone.
• Enjoy live music and performances to kindle your holiday spirit, featuring The Tap-dancing Christmas Trees, holiday carolers, and more!
