Friday Nights at OMCA brings the energy with a high-vibe night full of music, dance, and creativity—perfect for the whole family and all teachers being celebrated during our Spring Teacher Night! Get ready to dance, learn, and vibe with an eclectic mix of performances and activities that will keep the good times flowing all night long.
This Friday the OMCA Garden stage hosts Tyler Lauren and her live band as they infuse the night with jazzy and alternative R&B rhythms that are just right to get moving. Jaymeebaaby is set to complement the vibrations with a DJ set packed with high-energy tracks and good vibes. From throwbacks to fresh hits, she’ll be spinning a little bit of everything to keep the dance floor alive and buzzing.
Get ready to groove with Alice Park this Friday Night with a beginner-friendly K-pop dance lesson! Known for its energetic choreography and catchy tunes, K-pop has taken the world by storm. Learn official K-pop choreography in simple, easy-to-follow steps and move like your favorite K-pop stars.
Spring Teacher Night highlights the Museum’s school programs and teacher resources and features its annual OMCA Teacher Fellow curriculum slam all while welcoming teachers to the kick-off of the Friday Nights 2025 season. It’s the perfect opportunity for educators to explore new tools, network with fellow teachers, and join the celebration! More information about Spring Teacher Night can be found on OMCA’s website.
Friday Nights at OMCA also offer guests a well-rounded gallery experience with Gallery Chats. Unlike the traditional museum tour, Gallery Chats invites visitors to chat, ask questions, and connect with our OMCA facilitators who combine content knowledge with lived experience to encourage meaningful dialogue and fresh interpretations of our exhibitions.
With something for everyone—dance, music, and creative activities—it’s a night you won’t want to miss! Join us at OMCA for an unforgettable evening of culture, creativity, and community.
Limited $10 flat rate parking for Friday Nights is available in the OMCA Garage until 10 pm. Learn more about getting to the museum.

About Friday Nights:
Gather with family, friends, and community every Friday at 5 pm for free live music and hands-on activities, Off the Grid food trucks, and late night access to our galleries and special exhibitions, with a Museum ticket.
Bring your own or grab dinner from any one of the 8 Off the Grid food trucks on 10th Street between Oak and Fallon Streets. Beer, wine, mixed and non-alcoholic drinks are available for sale. After grabbing a meal from a wide and weekly changing menu of culinary creations, head to the OMCA Garden where you’ll find picnic tables and blankets to enjoy your local eats. Play lawn and table games, enjoy weekly rotating Museum programming, and create new memories at one of the Town’s most treasured spaces right in the heart of Oakland.
No outside alcohol permitted. Performances are subject to change. Limited $10 flat rate parking for Friday Nights is available in the OMCA Garage until 10 pm.
