East Bay Mini Maker Faire

  • October 22, 2017
  • $14 Adults; $11 Kids

Founded in 2010, this Maker Faire is organized and produced by the parents and alumni of Park Day School and takes place in the Temescal district of Oakland on the (gorgeous!) grounds of the school and the adjacent Studio One Art Center. Creative kids and adults around the Bay Area are wild about the annual Maker Faire in San Mateo for the for the unique opportunities it offers to tinker, build, explore, see, hear learn, and play. And for the last seven years we’ve been proud to host a smaller version of this crowd-pleaser right here in Oakland - the East Bay Mini Maker Faire, on the campuses of Park Day School and Studio One Arts Center.

The East Bay Mini Maker Faire will feature more than 100 exhibits, activities, rides, crafts and booths, art projects, bands, workshops, and food vendors. It’s like an arty circus meets a hands-on science fair. Some of the hands-on offerings include: pedal-powered amusement rides, urban homesteader exhibits, a nerdy derby, toy-hacking, soldering, screen-printing, robotics, music, and more.
