Join me again in taking care of our small businesses, this time Oakland Style Week edition! We’ll be repping Oakland fashion, don your green & gold, come looking fly and there will be a prize for “best” dressed!
On these“CareOVans,” we show our love for our District 3 community-serving and -loving small businesses. Many District 3 small businesses have a desire to create spaces that are in service to our community, and while slow recovery from the pandemic has been impacting them as well as their patrons, they want to continue in this mission. So what does showing love and care look like to them? Both hosting and being frequented by their community! And when we embody love and care as our guiding principles in our words, actions, and intentions, we show up in good faith ready to truly work together and find collective solutions that serve the common good.
