In his 50-plus years of playing the instrument, Carl has created a wildly successful, multi-faceted career. He is a critically acclaimed musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and educator with seventeen albums and two live DVDs released worldwide. Carl is commonly regarded as a guitar virtuoso capable of playing any style of music with remarkable mastery and conviction.
The CVB will be on the road in the spring of 2024 promoting their new album “Riverboat Sky and recording a new live album for release in the fall. The touring band of drummer John Mader (Steve Miller, John Fogarty, Booker T, Patti Austin, Peter Frampton, Bonnie Raitt) bassist Dave Marotta (B.B. King, Phil Collins, Burt Bacharach, Gino Vannelli, Manhattan Transfer, Bruce Hornsby) and keyboard /guitarist Troy Dexter (Wilson Phillips, Don Felder, Dionne Warwick) will be joined by vocalist Hollye Dexter.
Besides the band’s celebrated virtuosic musicianship, four-part vocal harmony adds a new dimension to Carl’s uplifting musical catalog that spans over three decades. The show will focus on new music as well as favorites from Carl’s albums dating back to 1988. In a single show, expect to hear blues, rock, jazz, jam and country music in both electric and acoustic settings. An exciting concert for all ages!
