About
Join us for a FREE concert featuring the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir (OIGC). Founded in 1986, OIGC is a group of singers from a wide variety of faiths, races and cultures, and has been a staple in Oakland music culture. Led by Artistic Director Terrance Kelly, who has extensive musical credentials in both gospel and jazz music, the choir is sure to uplift and inspire the audience through black gospel and spiritual music traditions.
A dessert reception will follow across the street at the California Ballroom from 8-9:30pm featuring local downtown Oakland businesses. Come enjoy a slice of pie from Edith's and a cup of Farley's Coffee after the concert! Seasonal pies include apple cranberry, eggnog custard, chocolate peppermint bark, and ginger snap. You won't want to miss this!
Please bring a healthy, non-perishable food item to the concert to place in the barrels at the entrance (no glass containers). All food items will be donated to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
Parking is available at the Franklin Plaza Parking Garage next door to the church for $5/car for the evening. You can enter the garage on 19th Street.
Note: This event is for adults only.
