About
The Black Food & Wine Experience returns to Oakland on Saturday, June 7, 2025, and it's bigger and bolder than ever! Founded by Chef Mimi, its mission is to provide a space where hospitality and Black excellence are cultivated, celebrated, and explored by all. Indulge in a delightful fusion of flavors, rich heritage of foods, wine, and cocktails inspired by the Diaspora.
This year, we’re bringing you more of what you love—and what you’ve asked for! Alongside a lineup of incredible food, wines, and cocktails, we’re adding a variety of mocktails and vegan options so everyone can join in on the fun. Then, turn up under the stars for the ultimate cooking competition and live deejay spinning old school HipHop and a tribute and cheers to Frankie Beverly to cap off an incredible day of food, culture, and community.
Prepare to meet the talents behind the flavors, including winemakers, cocktail curators, top restaurateurs, and celebrated chefs, all gathered for one unforgettable experience.
The Black Food & Wine Experience will take place at The Bridge Yard on Saturday, June 7. Event starts at 5:30 PM but doors will open at 5:15 PM.
