Main Menu
1. Ahn's Quarter Pound Burger
The local favorite. This place has been in the Grand Lake neighborhood for years, serving good old fashioned burgers. They have a parking lot, they are right by the lake, and the price will have you dancing. You won't be disappointed.
2. Belly
Not specifically known for their burgers, this Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant has visitors driving for miles for a taste of their tacos. But back to business... their burgers! Their Belly Burger just melts in your mouth. Packed with red onion tempura, mushrooms, cheddar, pickled cucumbers, garlic aioli, and kimchi aioli... this burger will make your Instagram followers jealous.
3. Brotzeit Lokal
Not only do you get a good burger here, but you also get the amazing view of the waterfront from their outside patio. Not to mention the impressive beer menu.
4. Camburger
Trust us on the Juicy Lucy here. A cheddar stuffed burger patty AND your choice of cheese on top?! Easily located in the middle of Downtown. Make sure to get the tater tots too!
5. Chop Bar
In West African parlance, a chop bar is a roadside restaurant and community gathering place and that’s exactly how I would describe Oakland’s Chop Bar. Their burgers are made with Preferred Meats ground chuck, bacon, avocado, tomato and aioli on a sturdy Acme kaiser roll and I always add cheddar. The ripe avocado is seasoned with fresh, ground pepper and adds an extra layer of creamy freshness. - @eastbaydish
Upgrade the cheese on The Chop Bar Burger to the Fiscalini! - (Samantha Iufer - Facebook comment)
6. Clove & Hoof
Clove & Hoof is a restaurant and a butcher shop, so they are experts in all things meat. The C & H Burger has two 4-ounce beef patties, caramelized onion jam, pimento cheese, chopped romaine, b&b pickles and pickle mayo on a potato pepper bun. I added bacon after realizing it’s made in house and the burger turned out to be incredibly cheesy with big, bold flavors. - @eastbaydish
7. Flipside
Flipside is committed to serving all-natural, high-quality meats, raised free-range, and proudly serves local produce whenever possible. Plenty of meat, topping and side options.
8. Hopscotch
Their First Base Burger starts with a house-ground chuck, with the addition of griddled beef tongue, pickled onions, and sesame aioli. Pair the burger with house-cured bacon, fries or a salad.
9. Luka's Taproom
Usually known for their packed bar with arcade games in the back... Lukas serves a mean burger. A half-pound chuck & sirloin burger with fries.
10. Park Burger
Before jumping into their massive burger selection, we need to give some love to their mural of Oakland neighborhoods. Multiple burger options with organic, grass-fed beef. Make sure you try the milkshakes!
11. TrueBurger
TrueBurger specializes in classic burgers, made with all-natural, pasture-raised beef that’s ground daily. The burger is smashed and seared on a flat top griddle, so it has an amazing caramelized crust. It’s served on a soft egg bun with lettuce, tomato and garlic mayo and I always add bacon, cheese and grilled onions. It’s so comforting that I order one whenever I’m having a bad day - along with a Vanilla Milkshake with Caramel and Toasted Marshmallows.
12. Wood Tavern
Their Niman Ranch Burger is a little different than your typical burger. It's served on La Farine Baquette. We recommend adding the avocado and applewood smoked bacon.
13. The Golden Squirrel
Masami ground beef and bone marrow, house-made American cheese, aioli, tomato, little gem lettuce, red onion.
