Explore the Oakland Urban Wine Trail
Yes, we love California Wine Country. We really do. But, oh, the traffic. The tour buses, the elbow-to-elbow tasting rooms. The $450 per night hotel rooms. Lucky for us, enterprising, talented winemakers have done something completely brilliant. They bring grapes--those outstanding, juicy, berry-ish reds as well as bright whites from famous wine lands--to the shores of Oakland. They blend, barrel and bottle them here. They get to name them -- The Day Job, Les Enfants Terribles and The Imposter -- to reflect their Oakland roots. We get to drink them. Thank you, Oakland winemakers.

Campovida focuses on hand crafting small lots of Rhone and Italian varietals. The grapes are sourced from Mendocino sustainable, organic and biodynamic vineyards. The winemaking approach is minimalistic, and lets the vineyard's expression come through the wine.
55 Fourth St
Old World inspiration and New World style: the winemakers Anne and Michael Dashe specialize in exceptional vineyards and balanced, complex wines. Oakland's largest working winery- you can taste their wines and see a winery in action. Make sure to visit the new outdoor wine garden!

The wines are created as perfect complements to the local food; diverse flavors, honest ingredients, sophisticated yet approachable style. These wines are made in America's most diverse city, Oakland. Disruption is about breaking down myths, urban legends, making wines of uncompromising balance and elegance.
2102 Dennison St
State left handcrafts small lot wines featuring classic Rhone varieties (think Syrah, Viognier, Grenache, and Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, and a little ROussane) in not so classic combinations- from some of the top vineyards in California. Their wines are consistently among the top-rated in the Bay Area.
477 25th St
Two Mile Wines makes wine full of personality, like that eccentric, charming friend you always invite to dinner. Farmed organically or bio dynamically, but not in a granola sort of way. Wine snobs need not visit. These wines are for drinking, not judging.
518 9th St
The full selection of Periscope Cellars wines can be tasted (free & on-tap!) at Deep Roots Wine Bar inside of Historic Swan’s Market where you can also enjoy amazing pizza and salads from their partners at Hen House. Their extended hours and excellent variety of food provides an excellent ending to a day of local wine tasting.
