A. There are so many cultural options to choose from, but I am hooked on the “braised angus oxtails” at alaMar.
Q. Where is the first place you take your friends and family from out of town in Oakland?
A. The view from the Claremont Hotel amazes them every time!
Q. What’s your favorite secret spot in Oakland?
A. The Rose Garden is my “urban retreat” in the city. Seems like a world away right in the city.
Q. Where would someone most likely find you on the weekend?
A. Hiking in one of the city’s beautiful hillside parks, like my favorite Joaquin Miller Park.

A. St. John, US Virgin Islands.

A. A Lavender Cosmopolitan anytime of the day!
