Q. If this was your last day on Earth, where in Oakland would you dine?
If it's my last day on Earth, I'm going for quantity and heading for Swan's Market where there are 7 hella good restaurants all under the same roof. My first course will be Miss Ollie's fried chicken!
Q. Where is the first place you take your friends and family from out of town in Oakland?
This is hypothetical because none of my friends or family has visited me yet (hint, hint), but I'd take them up to Redwood Regional Park to hike and see the views overlooking the entire Bay.
Q. What’s your favorite secret spot in Oakland?
Nice try, but I'm not giving away my secrets that easily. But you should definitely try Paul's secret spot.
Q. Where would someone most likely find you on the weekend?
Oakland Estuary, on a kayak, pretending I'm not getting a sunburn.
Q. Describe your Oakland in 3 words?
Vibrant, Soulful, Yummy.
Q. Where is one of your favorite travel destinations in the world?
Iceland. I think that everyone should hike the Laugavegur Trail. Every single day feels like you are on a new planet.
Q. What is your go-to happy hour drink?
Something along the Oakland Ale Trail. Probably Temescal Brewing or Novel Brewing to keep it close to home.
Q. What do you love about your job?
Meeting the people of Oakland whose passion and energy make this such an incredible destination.
Q. Describe who you are in 140 characters or less.
Virginian, Veteran, Duke Dog, over-rated son, under-rated uncle, Parrot Head, world traveler, soccer fanatic, and always Roving Wild.
Q. Best place to shop in Oakland?
